Treasures Neighbourhood Nursery Unlocking the gold in every child …
Babies: Tiny Treasures We work in partnership with you to make the transition from home to nursery as smooth as possible. Your baby will be cared for by experienced nursery officers who will spend time with you discussing the settling-in process for your baby and the feeding, sleeping and daily routines. Our staff will provide a daily information diary to keep you informed about your baby’s routine for sleep, feeds and nappy changes as well as a general overview of their day at nursery. We provide a calm environment using different mediums of colour, textures, light, sound and movement to stimulate your baby. We complete a key worker file of your baby’s important developmental stages and photographs of their days in our nursery.
18 months – 3 years: Little Gems We have lots of exciting activities to stimulate your child and encourage them to begin to do things for themselves. Our staff will keep you informed of the daily activities and routines and also provide a nursery/home information diary to monitor your child’s developmental milestones.
3 – 5 years: Treasure Seekers Your child will learn through various play mediums and carefully planned activities with lots of positive praise and encouragement from staff.
We will encourage your child to co-operate in a group, take turns and share, concentrate and listen to instructions and understand right and wrong. We will develop children’s respect for others and build their self-esteem and confidence to enable them to reach their full potential and promote a positive image of learning.
All of our activities and assessments link into the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. This can begin in the baby room and will continue with your child as they progress through the rooms and on into school.
Free Government funded sessions for 3 and 4 year olds are available. Please ask our Nursery Manager for details.
